Unicrown System

The idea that
needed finishing.

Single-crown internal bezel systems promised clarity and reliability decades ago. The idea was right. The execution wasn’t. Unicrown finishes the job with modern tolerances and a purpose-built mechanical clutch.

How It Works

A patented clutch wraps the crown stem. Each position engages one function, and only that function. Nothing overlaps, nothing drifts.

Timing

Turn the arrow to the minute hand and the scale counts the minutes as they pass. Times anything up to an hour.

Second zone

The numerals are a second 12-hour scale, with the arrow as 12. Offset the ring by the hour difference and the hour hand reads both zones. A quiet GMT.

What Modern Tolerances Change

What Modern Tolerances Change

Modern machining holds tolerances the originals never could. Positions don’t blur. The bezel doesn’t slip.

Engineering Approach

The clutch builds on a proven two-way ratchet-and-pawl principle, remade at watchmaking scale. The crown never asks you to be careful.

Each turn lands with a clear, evenly weighted click. Within days you stop thinking about which position does what. Your hand just knows.

Unicrown doesn’t ask to be noticed. It’s deliberate, legible and stable, made for every day. A small mechanical change that reshapes how an internal bezel watch feels in the hand.
